The first EVA unit ever made. Unlike Units 01 and 02, 00 was not initially intended for combat situations. On its first testing, it goes berzerk without warning. Fortunately, it deactivates after draining its energy cells. Months after sustaining critical damage while assisting EVA-01 in battling the Fifth Angel, Unit 00 is given a full upgrade, making it more capable of battling Angels than ever. Unit 00 is piloted by Rei Ayanami. |
